Vijay, Simbhu and Maddy – 3 Idiots

Finally, we have the picture perfect team for Shankar’s remake of ‘3 Idiots’ with Vijay, Silambarasan and Madhavan playing lead roles. It was unconfirmed buzz as the assumptions about star-casts remained so confidential and now we have some of the sources uncovering about the trio donning lead roles. The Telugu version will have Mahesh Babu along with Simbhu and Maddy taking on the respective roles. The professor role performed by Boman Hirani in Hindi version will go to none other than Sathyaraj. But for a greater surprise, A.R. Rahman will not be working with Shankar as he is busy with other projects and international tour. Shankar’s second preference always goes to Harris Jayaraj as they worked together previously for ‘Anniyan’.As of now Shankar is brimmed with his preparations for ‘Enthiran’ and the complete team will be announced soon after the release.

SILAMBARASAN IS FUMING ABOUT LINGUSAMY

The feud between director Lingusamy and actor Silambarasan has taken an ugly turn with the actor going public with his clarifications on media reports that Lingusamy has sacked him from his next project.

Silambarasan, whose undertone lover-boy performance in VTV was greatly appreciated by fans and critics, was first signed up by Lingusamy's production house Tirupathi Brothers for a movie to be directed by Bhoopathy Pandiyan. Later it was announced that the film will be produced by Dayanidhi Azhagiri's Cloud Nine Movies and Lingusamy will direct it.

In a statement released today, Silambarasan clarified that he did not "technically" sign any film with Cloud Nine Movies. He also told that Dayanidhi Azhagiri is his close friend and they both share a good rapport. Referring to the director, Silambarasan told that Lingusamy never narrated the script for the movie. "I waited for over 100 days in vain for his complete script and then decided to do Vaanam," he had said.

A visibly agitated Simbhu said he was shocked to see reports that he has been sacked from Lingusamy's project. "I had told him that I will be free from September 1. But he jumps the gun and announces that I have been replaced by another actor! This is totally unprofessional and not done," he concluded.

SILAMBARASAN IS STR HENCEFORTH

Silambarasan was in the process of applying for UK Visa when an official over there came to know that his full name is Silambarasan Thesingu Rajendran. On noting this, the official suggested that he would henceforth use the abbreviation STR so that it would rhyme with the legendary MG Ramachandran, affectionately addressed as MGR.

Though the actor is well aware that he has to reach greater heights to achieve that fame, he has decided to use STR instead of Silambarasan.

Also, Silambarasan will soon support service and non-governmental organizations in order to lend a helping hand to the needy. The actor has said that he will make an announcement on this issue soon.

SILAMBARASAN CONNECTS TO ENDHIRAN!

The audio launch of Endhiran is a major event in itself. And this gets even more interesting with Silambarasan performing for a Rajini’s song. Silambarasan, who will be in London to shoot for Poda Podi, will join the Endhiran team in Kuala Lumpur where the audio launch is scheduled to take place.

BHARATH JOINS SILAMBARASAN

This is an unexpected development in the tinsel town! Bharath will share the screen space with Silambarasan in Vaanam. The young breed of actors are really on keen on multi-starrers, it seems. Bharath will play the role essayed by Manoj in Telugu.

This is a remake of the Telugu hit film Vedam. Yuvan Shankar Raja will score the music for the Tamil remake.

Yet another dual hero film in the making that has captured the attention of the movie buffs is Avan Ivan, which is directed by Bala and has Arya and Vishal in the main roles.
