Simbu attempting a patch-up with Lingusamy?

More often than not, we become prisoners of our own circumstances and utter words depending on our state of the mind at the time of expressing our views, not always taking into account the context in which the speech is made. Some time back, Gautham Menon had described Simbu as the next 'Suriya' of Tamil films.

It's a known fact that Menon directed Simbu (and Trisha) in his latest and successful venture 'Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya'. Following Menon heaping praise on him, Simbu had spurned the offers of another director Lingusamy who wanted to work with the 'young superstar' in a film.

Though Simbu had waited patiently to hear from Menon, the latter had launched a couple of movies and appeared to be in no mood to repeat Simbu as hero in another film. It took Simbu several months to realize that Menon's statement about him was said jus to 'sensationalize' the interview.

Finding no other offers coming his way (he had also walked out of K.V. Anand's 'Ko' and was replaced by Jeeva later), Simbu is said to be willing to bury the hatchet and work with Lingusamy at least once in the near future. He has reportedly sent 'feelers' to Lingusamy's camp to find out about the feasibility of working with the latter.
