Kalasala will be an evergreen hit, says Silambarasan

The Tamil version of the item song Munni Badnam Hui will begin with the lyrics Kalasala, revealed Silmabarasan, the lead star in Osthi. The film has Richa playing his lead pair and Dharani is directing this remake of Dabangg.

Silambarasan said that popular singer LR Easwari and his dad T Ranjendar will render this song under the music direction of Thaman. Adding further, the star said that he wanted a very different voice for this particular song and hence zeroed in on LR Easwari and T Rajendar.

The actor predicted that Kalasala will turn out to be a youth anthem when it releases and will be an evergreen hit like L R Eswari's all time hit Thulluvadho Ilamai.

STR does it for thala in 'Osthi'

Well if your wondering what we are referring to, Simbu, a die-hard fan of Ajith has a tribute to his thala's 'Mankatha' in his forthcoming Diwali release 'Osthi'!

Ajith's well-received dialogue in 'Mankatha', 'Naanum Evalavu Naalthaan Nallavanavae Nadikirathu...' set a rage among the young and now Simbu will be using this one-liner in his 'Osthi' towards the end of the film.

'Mankatha' had a tribute to Simbu's 'Vaanam' dialogue, 'Enna Vazhka Da Idhu...', looks like the thala fan has something in store for his matinee idol now.

'Osthi' starring Silambarasan aka Simbu, Richa Gangopadhyay in the lead roles is a remake of B'town super hit 'Dabaang', and an item number featuring Simbu, Mallika Sherawat and Sonu Sood is one of the USPs of the film.

Shruti connects with Mallika’s item song in "OSTHI"

That Shruti Haasan is an accomplished musician and singer is well known to all. She has sung a number of songs and the latest will be for the Silambarasan starrer Osthi. Interestingly, she will render the item song for which the sexy siren Mallika Sherawat has been roped in to shake her leg.

Osthi’s music director Thaman decided that Shruti would be an excellent choice for this song and she had agreed to do it.

This item number is the most expected thing in Osthi because a similar item song turned out to be the highlight in the original version Dabangg.

STR in another remake?

Silambarasan watched Delhi Belly recently and laughed so hard his sides hurt! When the suggestion to remake the film came up, STR was very keen on doing it we hear. It is a Bollywood film that had Imran Khan in a pivotal role. What set the film apart was its liberal dose of toilet humor and its expletive - ridden narrative.

One wonders whether the Tamil film audience might be game for this coming of age film. Even so, word is that the Tamil remake of Delhi Belly will be modified and watered down in order to suit Tamil tastes. Aamir Khan, the producer of the Hindi version has let slip that some production houses are interested in buying the rights to the film so negotiations are going on currently to seal the deal.
