Silambarasan has been bagging good roles ever since Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya turned out to be one of his best hits. He is now in Vaanam, Vettai Mannan and the film he shot in London with Varalakshmi Sarathkumar by the title Poda Podi.

The actress is keen on doing the remake of a Hindi film which was one of the highest grossers in India before Endhiran. The action drama flick starred Salman Khan which went on to be a big hit. Known as Dabangg, this film broke several box office records.

Simbu will be acting in such a powerful film which is remade in Tamil. The actor will play the lead role enacted by Salman Khan in Dabangg. Mohan Apparao and T Ramesh will produce the movie for Balaji Studios – the cast and crew for which will be announced soon.

Simbu would like to rope in a top heroine from Bollywood. It seems the producers also want a top bollywood heroine to play the female lead. Following the official announcements, the film will go on floors in the last week of April.
